Founded in 2012 by Monique Perry, Avenue 61 is an Auckland-based graphic design studio giving businesses of all sizes access to the creative skills of an experienced graphic designer - without unnecessary hierarchy or high agency fees. Based on Auckland's North Shore, we work with clients across New Zealand and remotely worldwide, and have grown to include a network of creative collaborators with specialist skills to help pull any project together.
Avenue 61 specialises in branding, print design and digital documents. We love to be creative and explore new ideas, but our difference is in connecting design to strategic outcomes for your business. Because making things look good is one part of our job, but helping you tell a story, improve profitability, communicate with impact or leave a lasting impression is another.

Avenue 61 Director and Creative
Monique Perry is the founder and creative director of Avenue 61. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and e-Commerce from the University of Auckland, and after more than 15 years spanning every aspect of marketing, from trade shows and events to advertising and research, she returned to her creative roots and established Avenue 61 in 2012. With over 12 years running her own studio, Monique brings both strategic marketing intelligence and genuine creative talent to every client project.
But the creative instinct started long before the qualifications. Growing up, Monique was always making things — handmade Christmas and birthday cards, drawings in school books, always careful to never go over the lines. That same attention to detail and love of craft is still at the heart of every project Avenue 61 takes on today.
Monique continues to invest in her professional development, regularly undertaking further study to keep her skills and knowledge current across both design and the wider creative industry.
Her solid marketing background doesn't just make the job easier — it provides real added value to clients. Avenue 61 is built on the belief that great design should do more than look good: it should help your business grow, communicate with impact, and leave a lasting impression.
And when she's not at her desk? You'll likely find Monique camping, surfing, or down at the local beach — living proof that when you love what you do, work and life have a way of finding a great balance.
